Permits and Licensing through
the Georgia Department of Natural Resources

GRARE holds the following permits through the Georgia Department of Natural Resources:

Wildlife Exibition Permit:

(see first two images below): This permit is required for the exhibition of protected species native to Georgia, both on site and in mobile programs.

We file routine change in inventory status forms monthly, annual renewals and full animal inventories annually to fulfill the requirements of this permit.

Resident Trapping License:

(see below, right image): This permit is required to apply for the Permit for Handling Nuisance Wildlife. We do not conduct any trapping of animals.

We file annual renewals to fulfill the requirements of this permit.

Nuisance Wildlife Control:

(not obtained yet) This permit will allow GRARE to remove wildlife from areas where they are unwanted and relocate them. Study is under way to take this exam.

Wildlife rehabilitation Permit:

(not obtained yet) This permit will allow GRARE to accept and treat injured wildlife either by removal from the wild for treatment or by public drop off. We currently operate in conjunction with licensed veterinarians who provide this service for us. Study is under way to take this exam.
