GRARE provides the following as a guide to legal regulations pertaining to possession, capture, transport, breeding and rehabilitation of native and exotic species (as well as their parts ) of non domestic reptiles and amphibians. In most cases, other species information has been left out.
The listings contained within these pages are copies from the various Local - (Georgia,USA counties and cities), State, Federal, and International regulatory agencies web sites. In order to be certain of the most up to date information, we recommend contacting the agencies directly. Legislation is changing constantly, and even the agencies web sites may not be 100% accurate all of the time. We will attempt to check for any changes and update every three months.
When dealing with regulatory matters, it is your responsibility to contact the proper agency and discuss the situation which concerns you. After explaining your concerns, the officers of each agency will be able to provide you with answers specific to your situation.
