First let us say THANK YOU for even being here. We hope that you share our desire to increase the quality of life for captive reptiles and amphibians everywhere through education, and to increase the general awareness of these creatures as valuable members of the natural world around us. At the very least we hope to stop a few people from whacking every snake they see with a shovel!
Creepy Critters is only the educational programming branch of the Georgia Reptile and Amphibian Rescue Effort, an organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and placement or release of both native and exotic reptiles and amphibians (with the occasional arthropod).
GRARE provides educational programming to better inform the public about the roles of reptiles and amphibians in our environments. GRARE also is a rehabilitation facility providing proper housing environments, diets, and medical care to animals which have been abandoned, abused, neglected, picked up by animal control agencies, found by the general public, etc... We partially fund these efforts through our educational programming, but this does not begin to cover the range of our current expenses.
Becoming a member or volunteer of GRARE is a great way to support the goals of this organization, and help us further our efforts in spreading knowledge of these wonderful animals. Another way you can help is through donations of supplies or money. All proceeds raised will go towards supporting treatment of sick or injured animals, building enclosures to house rescue animals in naturalized environments.
